This Privacy Policy describes how Oregon Code Assistant ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers.
- Usage data: chat threads, questions, responses, citations, and timestamps.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store subscription status and a Stripe customer ID, but not card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, and basic device data via standard server logs.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide chat answers and citations.
- To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To improve retrieval quality and fix bugs.
3. AI Processing
Questions and retrieved code excerpts are sent to our AI provider through the Lovable AI Gateway to generate answers. We do not sell your data and do not authorize providers to train foundation models on your prompts.
4. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the Service (hosting, database, payments, AI inference). We disclose data when required by law.
5. Retention
Chat history is retained until you delete it or close your account. Billing records are retained as required by tax and accounting law.
6. Your Rights
You can delete individual threads in the app, or request account deletion through support. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or export your data.
7. Security
We use row-level security and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18.
